Why it was built
Last updated 19 September 2026.
Reading the small print is an old habit. It started with consumer-rights columns, carried on through every rental contract we signed, and stayed after we moved into technology. For a while we also worked in legal process serving alongside a lawyer, which is where we saw up close what a document that has to survive scrutiny looks like.
The other half is a habit just as old: asking people to reduce what they expose. Most people drop mail with personal details straight in the bin and say "who is going to go through my rubbish". Most of the time they are right. But identity theft and fraudulent transfers of ownership do happen in Israel, and nobody who ends up on that list chose to be there.
Amendment 13 brought the two together. An organisation holding personal data past its purpose is not doing it out of malice. It simply does not know where the data is. The first version of RTBFIL was a thin script that looked for attachments in mail. What exists now was built out of the questions that surfaced along the way: how you confirm a finding is really a finding, how you read a scanned PDF, and how you prove to an auditor that no deletion happened without a person approving it.
Who sells the product
An Israeli business. Development and support are done from Israel, and the product is delivered to the customer directly, with no reseller and no marketplace. The installation package comes from us, with a sha256 fingerprint to verify before you install.
Where the product is
Version 1.0.4. A young product, with a release history open to read. See Releases.
What the system does not do
The explicit scope, meaning which systems are scanned and what the system does not handle, is on the home page, under what the system does not do. It is not duplicated here, so there is only ever one version of it.
